Children's Ministry
Ministering to Children is a high priority for us at Mansfield Baptist Church. We value the opportunity and take seriously the responsibility of imparting Christ to the children God sends our way. We provide a safe and secure place for children to learn about God and to come to know Jesus personally. We recognize the investment that children deserve and count it a privilege to minister to them. If you have any questions about the Children's Ministry at MBC, please email the Director of Children's and Preschool Ministry, Dye Galloway at

Sunday, 9:45 AM -- Sunday School
A class for every age child is provided where God’s love is taught and shown to the children. The classes are fun, faith-building, and Christ-centered.
Sunday, 11:00 AM -- Worship
For Kindergarten children and older, our children worship with us in the Sanctuary so they can experience and learn how to worship God. Nursery and Extended Session is provided for the younger children. We strive to provide worship opportunities that are engaging for all ages, including children.
Sunday, 6:00 PM -- Kid’s Time
During our evening worship time, Kid’s Time provides an interactive time of learning for 2 year olds through 5th Graders. (Nursery is provided for the infants and toddlers.) Age appropriate classes provide a Bible lesson, crafts time, game time, and a snack.
Wednesday, 5:45 PM -- Children’s and Preschool Choirs
Children’s Choir (K through 5th grade) and Preschool Choir (ages 3 though 5 years old) provide opportunities for the children to lead in worship. Through the Fall, the children learn a musical with drama to present around Christmas time. Through the Spring, the children work on either another musical or other ways of leading in worship. A snack supper is provided free of charge to the children between choir and the Missions Organizations.
Wednesday, 6:45 PM -- RA’s, GA’s, and Mission Friends
The Missions Organizations teach about serving God through serving others and give opportunities for the children to experience helping others in different ways. RA’s (Royal Ambassadors) for boys and GA’s (Girls in Action) for girls in K through 5th grade learn about missions and do mission projects. Mission Friends (classes for 2 yr olds through 5 yr olds) learn about God’s love and sharing that love. Nursery is provided for the infants and toddlers. We strive to teach and model early and often that God’s call includes loving our neighbors and showing that love.
Special Event Ministries
Vacation Bible School -- Early June
VBS is one of the most important ministries we do all year long. During a week in early June, we teach the love of Christ through Bible lessons, crafts, music, recreation, and snacks. Children age 4 through 5th grade come for a week-long adventure of great learning and incredible fun. A wonderful week of VBS is capped off with Family Night on Friday night when parents, grandparents, siblings, and friends have the opportunity to come experience what the children have been doing all week. For Mansfield Baptist Church, VBS is really a community event. We have many visitors join us for that week of excitement.
Fall Festival -- October 31
Though our Fall Festival is geared toward children, it really is a community-wide family event. There are games for the children, food for the entire family, music and a great time to be had by all who attend. And, the best thing, IT IS ALL FREE! Our Fall Festival is a safe, family-friendly alternative to walking the streets on Halloween.
Easter Egg Hunt -- Around Easter
Our annual Easter Egg Hunt is on a Sunday night a week or two before Easter. We have a traditional egg and candy hunt, the telling of the Easter story and food for the entire family. This is a fun way to celebrate the true meaning of Easter.
